Ariana Grande has officially announced her eighth studio album, Petal, set for release on July 31 via Republic Records.

Grande describes the project as something “full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging” — a fitting image for an artist emerging from one of the busiest stretches of her career. Between the Wicked film and its sequel, plus Eternal Sunshine and its 2025 deluxe edition, she’s barely had a moment to breathe. Petal feels like her exhale.
The announcement has also turned attention to her upcoming summer tour, which Grande has hinted may be her last for a very long time. “I think it might not happen again for a long, long, long, long, long time,” she said on Amy Poehler’s Good Hang podcast. “I’m going to give it my all and it’s going to be beautiful.”
