Filipino music is setting its sights on one of the biggest stages in the global music industry.
From P-pop favorites BINI and SB19 to OPM acts like Ben&Ben, Cup of Joe, and Maymay Entrata, several Filipino artists have submitted their music for consideration at the 69th Grammy Awards, happening on February 7, 2027, in Los Angeles, California.
This year’s Grammy season is especially significant for Asian music, with the Recording Academy introducing Best Asian Pop Music Performance, a new category recognizing performances within the growing Asian pop music landscape.
With first-round voting underway, here’s a look at the Filipino artists and songs hoping to earn a spot among the official nominees.
Filipino songs submitted for the 2027 Grammys
Best Asian Pop Music Performance
The new category has drawn submissions from several Filipino groups and solo artists, reflecting the diverse sounds of today’s OPM and P-pop scene.
- “VISA” — SB19
- “Unang Kilig” — BINI
- “Sandali” — Cup of Joe
- “Ooh Lala Baby” — Baby Dolls
- “Masunog Man” — Maymay Entrata
- “Morena” — CARMELLE
- “ANTOXIC” — Janine Berdin
- “Isayaw Mo Lang” — KHIMO
- “Magsayaw Na Tayo” — Thomas Orlina
Among the most recognizable entries are SB19’s “VISA” and BINI’s “Unang Kilig,” with both groups continuing their efforts to introduce P-pop to international audiences.
Cup of Joe has also joined the conversation with “Sandali,” while solo performers and emerging acts are hoping to bring their own musical styles to the global spotlight.

Best Pop Duo/Group Performance
Two Filipino groups have submitted entries in this category:
- “LAWLESS” — SB19
- “Leaves (Reimagined)” — Ben&Ben
The submissions bring together two distinct sides of Filipino music, from SB19’s contemporary P-pop sound to Ben&Ben’s familiar folk-pop storytelling.
Best Song Written for Visual Media
- “A Parallel World” — BINI, from the animated film Forgotten Island
Beyond their entry in the Asian pop category, BINI is also seeking recognition for its contribution to the film’s soundtrack.

Best Dance Pop Recording
- “It’s Tootsie” — Tootsie Guevarra
The submission marks another international opportunity for the Filipino singer, who became a familiar name in the Philippine music scene during the 1990s.

Other Filipino entries
BINI has also been submitted for Best New Artist, a category recognizing emerging performers.
Meanwhile, Filipino songwriter Dodjie Simon has submitted his album Best of All (The Music of Dodjie Simon) for Best Global Music Album and Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical.
Two songs from the project have also been entered in arrangement categories: “Ikaw Lamang” for Best Arrangement, Instruments and Vocals, and “Kulang Ang Paleta” for Best Arrangement, Instrumental or A Cappella.
Does this mean they’re already Grammy nominees?
Not yet.
These submissions are part of the Grammy Awards’ consideration process, during which eligible recordings are reviewed and Recording Academy voting members select the official nominees.
For the 2027 Grammy Awards, first-round voting runs from October 12 to 22, 2026, with the official nominations scheduled for announcement on November 16, 2026.
Unlike fan-voted award shows, the Grammys are decided by eligible Recording Academy voting members, meaning public support does not directly determine who receives a nomination.

A bigger stage for Filipino music
While receiving a submission does not guarantee a nomination, the participation of Filipino artists across multiple categories reflects their growing ambition to reach audiences beyond the Philippines.
The introduction of Best Asian Pop Music Performance also creates another avenue for recognizing music from across the region, including the Philippines’ expanding P-pop and OPM landscape.
For now, Filipino music fans will have to wait until November 16 to find out which artists, if any, make the official nominees list.
Until then, these submissions offer another reason to celebrate the creativity and diversity of Filipino music, and the artists hoping to bring it to an even bigger stage.
