PREMIERE Condoms has a simple belief: relationships can be messy, but staying safe shouldn’t be. Guided by that belief, the brand is bringing the realities of modern romance to the screen through Almost Lovers, a new original TikTok series that explores the excitement, uncertainty, and emotional complexities of dating today.

Every generation has its own love story. Today’s love story unfolds through coffee dates, late-night conversations, unread messages, and relationships that often exist somewhere between friendship and forever. Almost Lovers captures these familiar moments through the story of Romeo and Julie, offering an authentic look at the emotional highs and lows of modern romance while reinforcing the importance of making safe choices.
Premiering on July 6, Almost Lovers follows Romeo and Julie as they navigate the excitement, uncertainty, and emotional complexities of modern relationships. Told through 20 bite-sized episodes released every weekday at 7:00 PM, the series embraces the fast-paced, mobile-first storytelling that has become second nature to today’s audiences, delivering relatable moments in a format designed for the platforms where young Filipinos already consume entertainment.

Leading the series is actress Karina Bautista, who has steadily built a reputation through a growing body of work in television and film after first capturing audiences’ attention on Pinoy Big Brother. Joining her is actor Migs Almendras, whose recent performances have showcased his versatility and emotional depth, making the pair a fresh on-screen tandem for a story centered on vulnerability, connection, and the uncertainties of love.
Behind the camera is director and screenwriter Rodina Singh, whose thoughtful, character-driven storytelling brings emotional honesty to Almost Lovers. Known for exploring complex relationships through a contemporary lens, Singh lends an authentic voice to a series that reflects the realities of modern romance.

“Modern relationships are full of moments that are exciting, confusing, hopeful, and sometimes heartbreaking. We wanted Almost Lovers to feel like a story audiences could genuinely see themselves in. At its heart, it’s about people trying to figure out love while navigating the realities that come with it,” said Rodina Singh, director of Almost Lovers.
For PREMIERE Condoms, the series reflects a broader effort to engage young adults through stories that feel relevant to their lives rather than traditional brand messaging. By weaving its advocacy naturally into entertainment, the brand hopes to encourage healthier conversations around relationships and safer sex in a way that feels accessible, relatable, and free from stigma.
