A quiet suburban street is suddenly torn from reality after a mysterious cosmic event lifts Oak Street out of its ordinary surroundings and drops it into an unknown, unrecognizable world. Cut off from everything familiar, the Platt family is forced to rely on one another as they navigate the uncertainty of their new reality—where survival depends on staying together.

Starring Anne Hathaway and Ewan McGregor, alongside Maisy Stella (“My Old Ass”) and Christian Convery (“Sweet Tooth”), The End of Oak Street follows the family’s struggle to adapt as their neighborhood becomes something far beyond anything they’ve known.

The film is directed by David Robert Mitchell, best known for the cult horror hit It Follows, and is co-produced by J.J. Abrams under Bad Robot. The screenplay is also written by Mitchell, with production led by Hannah Minghella, Jon Cohen, Matt Jackson, and Tommy Harper.

Behind the camera, the creative team includes cinematographer Michael Gioulakis, production designer Maya Shimoguchi, editor John Axelrad, composer Michael Giacchino, and costume designer Erin Benach.

The End of Oak Street will be distributed worldwide by Warner Bros. Pictures and opens exclusively in cinemas and IMAX on August 12 internationally, and August 14, 2026 in North America.
